The Babiesknow Team

The Babiesknow team brings an unrivalled level of expertise rooted in our personal life experience and professional work. We are parents and grandparents - with nine children and five grandchildren between us - and our individual careers have focused on parenting, pregnancy & birth, psychology, neuroscience,  infant development, family dynamics, genetics and what it is to be a human being. 

Babiesknow was co-founded in 2005 by eminent psychotherapist Kitty Hagenbach, one of the UK’s leading  pre and perinatal psychologists , and Dr Yehudi Gordon, well known for his advocacy of Active Birth and his passionate obstetric practice spanning over 30 years and more than 1000 births.

Kitty and Yehudi are joined by: writer and doula Harriet Sharkey; psychotherapist & massage teacher Helen Biscoe-Taylor; early life specialist and body worker, Charisse Basquin; administrator extraordinaire, Sarah Charlton; and web designer Nat Searle.

The Babiesknow team is no ordinary team. It’s like a family. We love staying in touch with one another. We regularly enjoy delicious food together; we do workshops to deepen our understanding of ourselves and one another; we debate important issues for hours on end; and we know we can be totally honest with one another and feel supported and understood, even on our dark days.
