Babies & Toddlers

“I can't believe the difference coming to Babiesknow has made to our stress levels!”

Babies know what they need - and you know too. The problem is that there's a lot of conflicting information out there - so just how do you trust your instincts (especially if they conflict what your parents or in-laws tell you, or the media, or your friends)?

You'll discover on our courses how to listen to yourself and your baby, trust your senses and find balance.

Our approach is always based on accepting your baby's needs ...
Love Me, Hold Me, Feed Me, See Me, Hear Me
... and accepting that your baby has feeings, just as you do.
This starting point supports secure and loving relationships, and allows you and your baby to communicate really well.

On our courses you'll have the chance to learn about daily family issues, and to explore sleep, feeding, boundaries, discipline and more. If you're expecting, you'll be surprised how looking at these issues before the birth will really help you feel confident, and excited.

Says one participant:

Eighteen months after having attended a Babiesknow workshop, I find myself appeased and relieved that I ever found something as relevant to the kind of parent I am and was always meant to be. I only wish that I had had something like this when I fist became a parent, 12 years ago. I had struggled to reconcile my instinctive ways of caring for my baby (which was all about bonding and attaching closely with my infant) with a stricter approach, centred around modern lifestyles; clock-watching and tradition. Those tensions undermined my early months as a parent and probably gave conflicting messages to my child. Thankfully, instinct prevailed and I learnt to trust my deeper feelings.

Babiesknow is all about instinctive parenting. It’s not about dogma or style, but about relationships, which are founded on trust from the start. Trusting that your baby is a complete and wonderful human being in the early stages of becoming the adult they will be one day. Trusting that we all need nurturing and co-dependence to thrive…that we needn’t be crying alone in the dark, but rather be comforted and heard.
