Our Team

Our team has formed over the past decade. We have worked together as practitioners and writers and friends, and we constantly share and discuss our views and the latest research.

As we develop this site, keep a look out for podcasts, video downloads and more ...

The Babiesknow Story

Babiesknow was launched in November 2005, and we have been running regular workshops ever since.

Kitty is the driving force behind Babiesknow, and her desire to spread parenting skills that support babies to feel heard, safe and happy has fuelled not only Babiesknow, but also her own practice as a psychotherapist.

With a meeting of minds and hearts Babiesknow was conceived, nurtured it to fruition, and this keeps it evolving today. Kitty and Yehudi met almost twenty years ago, when Yehudi acted as obstetrician for the birth of Kitty's first child. They have been regularly crossing paths ever since in their work with expectant parents and young families. Ten years later, Harriet and Yehudi came together to write a book about pregnancy, birth and parenting, and since then have been working in partnership and with a wider team of specialists, including Kitty. In the beginnings, Peter Walker shared his charisma and excellent massage skills with the group; more recently, one of his students, Helen, has joined us. She also brings her skills as a psychotherapist to the team.

Together we have been deepening our research and broadening our understanding of babies, parents and families, and also enjoying our own children and grandchildren (who now number 14, and range in age from 1 month to 39 years).

Babiesknow is, for each of us, a continuing journey. Each workshop brings new insights, each baby we meet teaches us something new ... and babiesknow is growing, with new workshops and an ever increasing community.
